What this policy covers

This policy applies to this website. It explains what happens to the information you give us here. Each Ilanji product will have its own privacy policy, and you'll see it before you begin.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form. If you join the waitlist, that is your first name (which is optional) and your email address. If you use the contact or partner form, that is your name, your email address and the message you write, plus your profession and organisation if you choose to share them, and which of our products your message is about. We do not ask for anything else. We also collect some basic information about how the site is used. See “Analytics and cookies” below.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for any information about your health on this website, and we would rather you did not include it in a message. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use advertising or tracking pixels.

How we use it

Your email address is used to send you the updates you asked for, and nothing else. Messages from the contact and partner forms are read by our team and used to reply to you.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how this site is used, so we can improve it: which pages people read, how they find us, and whether the site works well on their device. We do not use it for anything else.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. It records the pages you visit, the site you came from, your device and browser, and your approximate location, worked out from your IP address. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not try to find out.

Google processes this information on our behalf. We have switched off the settings that would let Google use it for its own purposes, and we have not connected it to any advertising. Google is based in the United States, so this information is processed there.

Detailed records are deleted after 2 months. After that we keep only overall totals, such as how many people read each page.

We also save your choice of light or dark theme in your browser. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.

You can switch analytics off at any time with the setting below. Your choice is saved in your browser, so it applies on this device until you change it or clear your browser's data.

The services we use

Kit stores our email list and sends our emails. Resend delivers messages sent through our contact and partner forms. We also use standard infrastructure providers to host this website and serve the images on it. Like any website, they process basic technical information, such as your IP address, as part of delivering pages to your browser. Each service holds only what it needs to do its job, under its own privacy terms.

Where your information is stored

Ilanji is an Australian company. The services we use for email, hosting, images and analytics are based in the United States, so information passing through this website is stored and processed overseas. We keep the list of services short and give each of them as little as possible.

How long we keep it

Your waitlist details stay on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Messages sent through the contact and partner forms are kept for up to 12 months so we have a record of the conversation, then deleted.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it. You can switch off analytics at any time in the “Analytics and cookies” section above. You can ask what we hold, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@ilanji.com and we will reply within 2 business days. If you are not happy with how we handle a privacy question, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we have your email address, we will tell you.
